Random Picture of the Week #30: On Lock Down–Padlocks and Chains

This week’s random picture is of a chain and padlock on a working farm out in Rockwall County, Texas.

On Lock Down–Padlocks and Chains

About the Padlocks and Chains

One of my favorite places to photograph is the old abandoned farmhouse on the working Klutts Family Farm. The farm is on lock down and protected by theses heavy chains and padlocks. I have never jumped over the fence to this place up to get an up close and personal with the dying house. Someday, I hope to speak with the family and even get the chance to tour the house and document it.

But for now, I get to use my SEL55210 telephoto lens and shot from the property lines.

About the Image

I shot this image with my Sony Nex-3N and Sony SEL55210 telephoto lens in bright and sunny conditions. I then processed the image in Adobe Lightroom to remove dust spots, straitening, and some other fine tuning before post processing. Next I processed the image with Topaz Clarity to bring out the colors and details. And for the final step, I used Topaz B&W to convert the image to black and white.
