Topaz Labs Lens Effects

Recently I got my hands on a copy of Topaz Labs Plugin-Bundle for Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. At some point I will do a review of the different plugins that Topaz Labs created. But for now, I wanted to share an image I edited with Topaz Labs Lens Effects.

Topaz Labs Lens Effects

“Topaz Lens Effects brings all of your camera lenses and filters (and even those you don’t have yet) together in a powerful and easy-to-use plug-in, eliminating the need for additional and expensive equipment, while providing unparalleled editing flexibility. The diverse range of effects made possible by virtual simulation of common lenses, filters and specialty cameras make it easier than ever to change or emphasize focal points, adjust depth-of-field, add vignettes, balance color tone, create miniature scenes and so much more. “Cars-and-Coffee-1

For this image, I wanted the focus to be on the row Lotuses and not the spectators in the background. So to keep the focus on the cars, I decided to us a lens effect. I didn’t use a blur effect since I didn’t like the final image.

So I opened up Topaz Labs Lens Effects Plugin, and choose the pinhole effect. This effect is like a pinhole camera and take a normal image and process it to look the image was shot with a pinhole camera. This filter is mostly used create an effect that you might see in lomography.

For this filter, I choose an effect that causes the edges to blur. Then I used the adjustment sliders to adjust how much blur there was and where the focus was.

Once I had the look I wanted, I then cropped away the edges I didn’t like. I will update this article once I create a review/tutorial on Topaz Labs Lens Effects.

If you would like a tutorial created on how I created this image, please use the contact form, I will create one.
