Old Red Phone Booth in Palo Pinto, Texas
A few months ago another photographer told me about an old red phone booth in Palo Pinto, Texas. Unfortunately I never got the chance to visit Palo Pinto, Texas again to see it. The I got that chance to see it and shoot some quick pictures with an old point-n-shoot camera that I’ve been using since my Sony camera is about to be sent out for repairs.
Where to Find the Old Red Phone Booth in Palo Pinto, Texas
The easiest way to find the old red phone booth is to drive HWY 180 from Mineral Wells, Texas and head west towards Palo Pinto. Be careful and keep an eye out. If you blink, you will miss it.
About the Old Red Phone Booth in Palo Pinto, Texas
The red phone booth is in savable condition and still has a modern old pay phone it. Its disconnected but its still there! As to the why, I do not know why its still there or how it came to be there. But I would love to know more about it.
About the Image
This image was shot by hand with my Canon Powershot sd960 is. For some reason the image size and quality settings were changed or reset at some point. This image is undersized and resolution is a bit low for what I would prefer. I will have to go back and shoot the phone booth again. This why its always a good idea to have a backup camera that is as good or almost as good as your current one. When I replace my camera with the New A7000 when it comes out, I will keep my old camera body as a backup and secondary camera.
I edited the image in Adobe Lightroom. I then post processed it with Topaz Clarity to add texture, brighten the image, and bring out the details in the image.
