Random Picture of the Week #63: If These Keys Could Sing – Crownover Chapel

This week’s random image was taken a couple weeks ago during a two day, no sleep road trip to explore parts of Texas Hill Country and West Texas.

If These Keys Could Sing - Crownover Chapel

The Crownover Chapel near Marble Falls, Texas

On our trip from Marble Falls to Kingsland, Texas we came stumbled on a small country cemetery and chapel. That chapel and Cemetery is the Crownover Chapel and Fairland Cemetery. The is small stone building that is still being maintained and at some point put back to its original charm.

The above picture is of a well used and loved piano that is still in use today. The chapel is still used a church and community center.

About the Image

This image was shot just before a large storm system came into the area. The shot was taken by hand with my Sony Nex-3N and a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 lens. I then edited the image in Adobe Lightroom. To remove some of the noise I used Topaz DeJEP (I normally shoot in RAW). Next, I post processed with Topaz Clarity to add texture, brighten, and bring out the details in the image. Then I removed the dust spots. Finally, I used Topaz DeNoise to remove the noise from the image.
