Random Picture of the Week #34: Bug Tussle, Texas
This week’s random image was taken on a last minute, much needed road trip to East Texas after a long week working in Bethany, Oklahoma. This old building is one of the few buildings left in Bug Tussle, Texas.
Bug Tussle, Texas
The town of Bug Tussle, Texas has a population of 6 to 10 people and is at the junction of Farm Road 1550 and State Highway 34, ten miles south of Honey Grove and five miles north of Ladonia in southeastern Fannin County. You won’t find this town on the GPS, it can be found on Bing Maps and Google Maps.
I won’t go into details about the town, I’m saving that story for the article I am writing up for the personal blog and the site I’m working.
But I will till you is this, this old abandon building is the only building at the cross roads. If you blink, you will miss it!
There are few houses around the cross roads and if you head down Farm 1550 you will see a sign that says welcome to Bug Tussle, Texas. The old building was called the Bug Tussle Store and it was a general store. Now it sits there empty and ignored.
About the Image
This image was shot by hand with my Sony Nex-3N and a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 as the storms were rolling in. I then edited it in Adobe Lightroom. I then post processed with Topaz Clarity to add texture, bright the image, and bring out the details in the image. I then used Topaz DeNoise to remove the noise from the image.
