Cars and Coffee Dallas Part 2

During the Labor day holiday (September 1st, 2012) weekend a friend and I attended a monthly car show up in Plano, Texas and I was able to shoot a number of the cars.

Cars and Coffee Car Dallas Car Show

The Cars and Coffee Dallas show that I attended is called Cars and Coffee Dallas. That car show is the first Saturday of every month and it starts about 8 a.m and goes to about noon. But most cars start leaving about 10. Its not really a car show but a meet where car lovers and get together and talk about cars and show off their rides and drink coffee. During the meet you can purchase coffee, juices, and energy drinks from volunteers. all purchased drinks are actually a donation to a charity group so you can donate as much as you want or just a little if that’s all you can afford.

At the show, you can find anything from Exotics to rat rods. This set of images is only the first few cars I saw that day. Since I was with a friend and we both had to be at other appointments across town, I shot mostly from the hip and tried for a street photography look since I couldn’t get any free time with the cars.

This is one sweet De Tomaso Pantera. I have see this car at several different car shows and I have even talked with owner about her. The car has made several cross country road races and even been featured on Speed TV.

Porsche Club

Porsche Club at Cars and Coffee Dallas show The one thing I love about car shows like this one is, car clubs generally get together and park their cars next to each other. And this group of Porsches is no different, most of the cars in this area are Porsches or guys that are some how connected to the group.

Porsche 997 GT3 or 997 TurboPorsche 997 at Cars and Coffee Dallas show

I’m not sure if this 997 is the turbo or the GT3 version. When looking at the car it has the lines of the GT3 but in person didn’t look quite like a GT3. Since the owner wasn’t around I had to guess what this one was. Either way it’s a great looking Porsche. Both the GT3 and Turbo both are high performance beasts and produce a ton of horse power and torque.

Porsche 356Porsche 356

Found this little gem parked off to the side of the rest of the Porsches. This may not be one of the bad boys of the Porsche world, but those 911s get their roots from this little 356.

Early1970s Chevrolet Corvette Stingrayat Cars and Coffee Dallas show

This old Stingray Corvette looks like someone pulled it directly out of the 70s hot rod era. Its has the chromed out side pipes you normally find on old 70s hot rods and a bright yellow paint job.
