This week\u2019s random image is of the West End Market Place in Downtown at sunset that I took back in June.<\/p>\n

The West End Market Place in Downtown Dallas, Texas<\/h3>\n

The West End Market Place in Downtown Dallas, Texas is an old warehouse building that sat vacant, forgotten, and abandoned for decades. Then in the 1980s the owners renovated and turned the old building into a mall and a 10 screen cinema that lasted until 2006 for it for it closed it doors.<\/p>\n

Currently the outside looks good but I do not know what the inside looks like and would love to know. For more information and a more but far from complete history of the old building, check out my article<\/a> on my personal site.<\/p>\n

About the\u00a0 Image<\/h5>\n

I shot the above image with a Canon EOS Rebel T1i<\/a> and Canon EF-S 18-55mm f\/3.5-5.6 IS II SLR Lens<\/a> at about sunset. I then processed the image with Adobe Lightroom<\/a> and Topaz Clarity<\/a> to bring out the detail of the buildings at sunset.<\/p>\n
