This week\u2019s random image is from a business trip to Mexico, Missouri and the drive took me through to the small town of Chouteau, Oklahoma.<\/p>\n

Monterey Motel in Chouteau, Oklahoma<\/h3>\n

The Monterey Motel is an abandoned (or just closed) motel that hasn\u2019t seen a customer in years. The motel might be still active but being used for something else. But for the most part, the buildings have been ignored. The buildings seem to be in decent shape, but the old sign has seen better days.<\/p>\n

About the Image<\/h5>\n

The image was shot by hand late in the afternoon after the storms passed by. When shooting the sign, you can see the storm clouds in the back and from the other direction its just cloudy. I shot the sign with my Sony Nex-3N<\/a> and a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f\/2.8<\/a> lens. I then edited the image in Adobe Lightroom<\/a>. Next, I post processed with Topaz Clarity<\/a> to add texture, brighten, and bring out the details in the image. Then I removed the dust spots. Finally, I used Topaz DeNoise<\/a> to remove the noise from the image.<\/p>\n
