This week\u2019s random image is of a 1960 Ratty and Slammed Ford Galaxie Sunliner I spotted last year at the Invasion Car Show 2014<\/a> in Deep Ellum, Texas.<\/p>\n

1960 Ford Galaxie Starliner Convertible<\/h3>\n

The 1960 Ford Galaxie Sunliner Convertible<\/a> was all-new with a scalloped-square front clip with twin headlights. The Stunliner was part of the Fairlane and Galaxie full-sized line up with the Starliner at the top of the list and the Fairlane at the bottom.<\/p>\n

1960 Ratty and Slammed Ford Galaxie Starliner Convertible<\/h3>\n

I\u2019ve seen this 1960 Ratty and Slammed Ford Galaxie Stunliner Convertible around town a few times and I have to say its one sexy lady. I have always been a fan of the Fairlanes and Galaxy cars and think they make great ratty slammed cruisers.<\/p>\n

When you look at it from a distance, it looks rough. The clear coat is gone, the paint is faded, and there are spots of surface rust on several places. What you don\u2019t see until you get up close is the current paint has been preserved with a mat clear coat and the interior looks good. It sits on the ground thanks to air bag suspension and rides on set of white wall tires and black steel rims.<\/p>\n

This gives this cruiser a ratty and slammed look that is becoming more popular everyday. But\u00a0 what I love about it is everything! I would drive it everyday.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a survivor and its getting harder to find these old cars still looking this good.<\/p>\n

About the Image<\/h5>\n

The image was shot by hand with my Sony Nex-3N<\/a> and a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f\/2.8<\/a>. Although it was bright, it was after 4pm and the sun was casting crazy shadows on my subjects. Next year, maybe I will take a slave flash with me to bounce some extra light on the subject to remove some of those shadows. I then edited them in Adobe Lightroom.<\/a> Then I post processed the image with Topaz Labs Clarity<\/a> to add more texture, remove shadows, boost brightness and contrast.<\/p>\n
