This week\u2019s random image is of a decorative but rusty and peeling iron scroll work on the front porch of the Old Stone Prison in Decatur, Texas.<\/p>\n

Rusty and Peeling Iron Scroll Work<\/h3>\n

Last week I was working in Hillsboro, Texas. On my last day in town, I did a little exploring in downtown Decatur, Texas<\/a>. One of the places I found and explored was the Old Stone Prison in downtown.<\/p>\n

Instead of posting an exterior shot of the old building or a shot of the interior, I decided to post an abstract taken from the front porch.<\/p>\n

This type of decorative iron scroll work isn\u2019t found on modern houses and buildings. This type of work is seen on buildings from the 1940s and 1950s. You can also find them on earlier buildings as well. But I believe that it\u2019s not as common.<\/p>\n

About the Images<\/h6>\n

The image was shot by hand with my Sony Nex-3N<\/a> and a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f\/2.8<\/a>. I then edited the image in Adobe Lightroom<\/a>. Next, I post processed with Topaz Clarity<\/a> to add texture, brighten, and bring out the details in the image. Then I removed the dust spots. Finally, I used Topaz DeNoise<\/a> to remove the noise from the image.<\/p>\n
