One of the things I love about abandoned farm houses and other buildings is discovering the forgotten. Almost every abandoned place that hasn\u2019t been picked over by scrappers and thieves will have a story. You just have to look for it and find it. Even those places that are picked clean or have been so decayed that only dust and decay was left behind, will have a story. You just have dig deeper. I do not mean on the property. I mean by asking the locals about the place you are exploring (use caution) and online.<\/p>\n
As for this old farmhouse, just in the living room, you can see an old electrical box (left behind by a scraper), an old toy, and the remains of a modern couch. Just seeing these three things tells me the house was a more recent abandonment, either the children were old enough and didn’t want the toy or it was forgotten, and the scrapping process has began.<\/p>\n

Then I post processed the image with Topaz Labs Clarity<\/a> to add more texture, remove shadows, boost brightness and contrast.
