Back in July, I was driving around looking for a place to shoot some test shots. While driving around, I came across a small car show in Sachse Texas. Although I wasn’t much impressed with the way the show was ran, there were some pretty cool cars there.<\/p>\n

During this shoot, I shot both HDR<\/a> and regular exposure shots. It was a warm evening and lot of shots were taken close to sunset. So a lot of the images were taken in shadows with a lot of people around. Since this was my first true attempt at shooting HDR only a few came out.<\/p>\n

Over the last few days, I have been going back through the images and doing a little post processing. Redid some of the HDR effects trying a few different programs and an online generator (I will post more info about this tool in the future.) Mostly I was trying to figure out a way to create a lomography effect using photoshop. But more on that, later on.<\/p>\n

So today, I wanted to share with a few of my favorite pictures from this shoot. Then in a few weeks, maybe share some more after doing some more post processing. I have lot of favorite shots from this shoot, but I want to keep this post short.<\/p>\n

1940s Mercury 2-Door Custom Hotrod<\/h2>\n

This is one of my favorite shots taken at the show. I used Photomatix<\/a> to create the HDR effect. This car is a regular at the local car shows in the area. It was built at the Sachse Rod Shop<\/a> and sometimes you can see it parked out front. Hopefully, I can track down the owner, I would love to get some more shots of this beauty.<\/p>\n

1955 Pontiac Safari Wagon<\/h2>\n

This the first Pontiac wagon I have seen. Its a 1955 and its built off the Nomad platform. One of my favorite cars has always been the 1955 Nomad (Bel Air Wagon) and those are rare cars today so I can’t image how rare this car beauty is.<\/p>\n

I processed this image with Adobe Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS4. Once I was finished, I went back and processed the image to give it a vintage toy camera look (lomography<\/a>). I will post the original image<\/a> at a later date.<\/p>\n

1930s Ford Truck Custom Hotrod<\/h2>\n

This custom truck is one of the best custom jobs I have seen in a while. Its all chormed out and the paint is actually a pretty blue color. I will post up some full body shots later on. But out of all the shots taken of this truck, I believe this one came out the best.<\/p>\n
