One of the new tutorial series that I have been wanting to do for a while is a beginner series for Adobe Illustrator and then once those are complete start sharing more complicated monthly best of Adobe Illustrator Tutorials. For today’s design resources article, its time to start the Adobe Illustrator beginner series.
Adobe Illustrator Beginner Tutorials
Originally I had planed to do a step-by-step tutorial on how to create a new document or even a video tutorial. But that all changed when I found this great series of Adobe Illustrator beginner Tutorials over at Adobe TV. So instead of creating a video for something that the guys over at Adobe TV already produced, I decided to share Adobe TV’s Adobe Illustrator Beginner Tutorial series. It will be a weekly article with commentary to get everyone up to date with Adobe Illustrator.
If you are already a regular user of Adobe Illustrator CC, then this mini series of Adobe Illustrator Beginner Tutorials isn’t for you. After watching some of them earlier today, I realized there were things I didn’t know or understood about certain tools in Adobe Illustrator. So you might just find something useful from the series. Once the series is complete, I will start the monthly best of Adobe Illustrator tutorials and start working on another series for more advanced users.
Adobe Illustrator Beginner Tutorials: How To Create a New Documents
The first thing you need know to for any piece of software is how to create new documents and what tools and features are available during the new documentation creation process. For me, the create new documents windows was a bit confusing, but then again I taught myself how to use Adobe Illustrator and only used a few features. Even after using several different version of Adobe Illustrator, I am still a novice. I only use the tool when I need to do something that Photoshop doesn’t do well with.
The first tutorial video in the mini series is how to create a new document and it goes into great detail on the create new document window. The tutorial shows us just how strong and smart Adobe Illustrator can be.
