Why Should You Care About HTML5

HTML5 has been around for sometime and most of the websites you visit every day have some sort of HTML5 coding on it. If you have a fairly advanced site or looking to add some new design elements that previous versions of HTML doesn’t do, you might want to look into updating your site so you can take advantage of all the benefits of HTML5.

HTML5 Features

With HTML5, you have a ton of new elements and attributes at your finger tips. Some of those new elements and attributes are:
  • Canvas Element – It can be used for rendering graphs, games graphics or visuals images on the fly.
  • Embedding video just got easier – You can now embed video without having to using Adobe Flash or Apple Quick Time.
  • Geolaction – With HTML5, its easy for website’s to find out where their readers are coming from. With Geolacation, you get a more accurate way of pinpointing a user’s location information from WiFi towers and GPS.
  • Offline Web Applications – You can setup web applications and documents even when their network connection is unavailable.
