Photoshop is a powerful image editor that is used by everyone from someone who likes cleaning up their family photos to the professional photographer. You can use Photoshop to clean up and correct color correct photographs, create graphics, or add special effects to images. With a tool like Photoshop, it gives it’s users the necessary tools to create unique works of art that you can’t get with a basic or free image editor.
The above image is a picture I took at a local car show last year. I took several pictures and used several different tools to create a vintage look.
One of the newest trends in design is the use of lighting effects. By lighting effects I mean, a graphic designer will take a stock image and add lightning or cool flashes of light to give a creative feel to the image. There are so many different ways to create lighting effects. Lighting effects can be from taking different stock images and manipulate them in to create different effects or you can use different tools within the Photoshop toolbar to create custom effects.
For those wanting to add lighting effects to their projects, here are some Photoshop tutorials that will show you how to add lighting effects to your images. I originally had planed on creating my own collection but, I came across this collection of Photoshop tutorials from Vandelay Design Blog earlier this week and decided to share this one instead of creating my own. I do plan on creating my own collection but I want to wait until there are some new tutorials available.
