With the growing popularity of the Google Plus Network, its only natural that the subscriber numbers have reached over a million users. With so many people using Google Plus you should be able to connect with your friends, niche related contacts, and new social media friends. But with the limited options Google gives to make those searches, its actually can be hard to find people on Google. To help with this issue, someone stepped up to the plate and helped us out.

The person or I should say a company created a site called Google Plus Directory to help Google Plus users to quickly and easily find other Google Plus Users.

Google Plus Directory Helps You Find Users

The Google Plus Directory makes it easy to find people on Google Plus Network. The easiest way to find someone to is use the search field. You can search by name, location or profession. If you are not sure who you are looking for, you can use the sidebar on the right. It offers search links that will look pull up users by country, state, city, profession and a variety of other ways.

Final Thoughts

I have been using Google Plus Directory for about a day and so far it works great.  I did some searches for designers in my state and city. I was able to find quite a few new contacts on there. I also tried several other searches and they gave useful results as well. However, I did notice that when I looked at several quick views of user profiles the stats were off compared to what the actual profiles displays. Other than that, I haven’t any other cons to using this site.

  1. This is a very helpful post James. It is indeed very beneficial to easily search for Google +1 users to expand our network of friend and connect with those who have the same interests as ours and this could also be of particular importance to online business owners. Thanks for the share.

  2. That’s a pretty cool idea. A lot of new ideas and sites are already spinning off the new Google+ network. I only hope all those efforts aren’t squashed by G adding that feature into the platform since it’s still in beta.

I did see where they are adding a business page feature in a bit so they are still building on. The directory is a very cool idea and pretty useful, I’m trying it now.

  3. I think this is a great START, but as of right now it seems that so little of the network is actually indexed on the site. I can’t even find myself. What is your protocol for indexing and when can we expect to see the numbers you have matching the numbers G+ have?

    • I haven’t done any indexing, but I found a status update from someone who showed a quick screen cast of Bing indexing parts of Google plus.

  4. This is quite an interesting find James. Went over there and tried to search for “me”, lol. Sadly, it appears that I am not yet indexed. Not sure how that works. Was able to play with it a little though and found cool peeps to follow.

    • I couldn’t find you either, not sure why. I did find myself on there. So maybe its indexed by how much a user uses the network. The more you use it, the better chance that you have to get indexed…

  5. Awesome article and resource James, thanks! Headed to share it on Plus now….
