Well its that time a year, when my wife and I head out of town to visit her parents. In the past this wasn’t a big deal. We normally would head over to their house that was down the street for dinner or to visit. But two years ago, they up and decided they wanted to move to Canada. Don’t ask me why, they never gave me a good reason for this move. For almost two years they have asked us to visit them and this is the week we finally had the time and vacation time off to do it. I normally get a few days off a week, but out here, we are pretty much out of pocket for the next 6 days. No cell service and if we did it would be expensive to call. Luckily I was able to take time off from my main job and I only have one active client that needs work done. So during the day we play and evenings I work a few hours to keep up and complete the project on time. Yes, I let the client knows and is fine with trip.
If you have been following our progress on my Facebook stream, you will know that we flew into Denver and had a three hour lay over followed by a night in Spokane, WA. We then Drove almost six hours to Kelowna, B.C. We are staying with my wife’s parents who have a house on the bluff of the West Bank over looking Okanagan Lake and a great view of downtown Kelowna.
As for the rest of the drive in, it was beautiful drive. Lots of mountain driving and a lot of farmland tucked into the valleys. I found some great places for potential picture taking on the way back. So if I have the time and the weather isn’t gloomy and raining, I hope to stop for some pictures.
O yeah, I almost forgot, we saw a black bear cub or almost ready to leave the momma bear running down the road. What a site…No pictures though.
On a couple of stops I was able to snap off a couple of interesting and cool shots. Over the next few days, I will try and post up more of the trip pictures.

Old 1950s Cadillac Sticking through the roof a bar and grill restaurant in Spokane Washington.
Have an awesome time, one question though, did you have to park your car that close to the bar and grill? 😆 Only kidding 😉
If that was my car, it would parked in my Garage right now and it would look a lot nicer! 🙂
Have a good trip you two! You may want to fix the typo in the first line, unless you’re actually coming over to visit MY parents 😉
Thanks Anne. I fixed the typo. I am surprised I missed that typo…
enjoy your vacation, James… looks like the car crash-landed on the right spot lol 🙂
They moved here because Canada rocks!
Enjoy the trip as much as you can James.
