For the past few months, I have been interested jQery. When I first heard about jQuery I only knew that it was JavaScript library. I wanted to know what it was, how it used and how it can benefit me as a web designer. I found that “jQuery is a fast and concise JavaScript Library that simplifies HTML document traversing, event handling, animating, and Ajax interactions for rapid web development.”
I have compiles a quick list of five jQuery sites with tutorials, tips, and resources for learning jQuery. The links I found are beginner level and should give you a good understanding of what jQuery is all about.

Tips to help Beginners with jQuery

“jQuery is an amazing Javascript library that makes it easy to create wonderful and astonishing web effect in just a few lines of code. I used to hate javascript a lot because of its long syntax and they are hard to remember. And then I discovered jQuery last year and it got my attention because of its simplicity. It changes the way we code javascript and makes everything so simple to achieve. For example, those fading, sliding animation, one would spent hours to write a function for that, but with jQuery, you just have to call the method! It saves times, cross browsers support, and its robustness simply blow me away.”

“This fast-paced tutorial should be able to get beginners up and running with jQuery very quickly, while also providing a good overview of what jQuery is capable of (although jQuery’s capabilities go far beyond this beginning tutorial).”

““jQuery for Absolute Beginners” series on the ThemeForest Blog. If you’re unfamiliar – over the course of about a month, I posted fifteen video tutorials that teach you EXACTLY how to use the jQuery library. We start by downloading the library and eventually work our way up to creating an AJAX style-switcher. I’m very proud of this series; possibly more than any other that I’ve done for Envato. “

I know a little JavaScript. I have about 8 month coding learning and using it. I haven't I haven't created much since then but I do understand a lot of it and can add, remove, debug and add to code if needed. Just takes me a little time researching and figure out what I need to do to make something work.
