HDR or high dynamic range imaging uses a greater dynamic range of luminance between light and dark areas of an image that standard digital photography methods can not produce. HDR uses multiple pictures and imaging processing to create HDR photography.
I have collected some of my favorite examples of HDR photography. All pictures are licensed to under Creative Commons and linked back to the original source along with a link to the creator’s profile if their is one available.

Wow. Love the pictures. This HDR really brings out the true sight in the pictures.
Yes they do. I love this type of photography. I need to get myself a digital SLR so I can start shooting pictures like these.

Are these pictures available as a RSS feed or someone I can download them as a group? I'd love to make them part of my rotating background in Windows 7

These pictures are unreal! HDR has always been an interest of mine.

Great pictures James. I really like the Golden Gate Bridge photos.
These are magnificent! I can’t say I like the effect in every photo – sometimes there’s way too much “drama” created by the light. But at other times, that drama is just perfect. The “Iglesia de San Pablo” is otherworldly.
Yeah, I know, with a lot of HDR photography the point is to stretch the limits. It takes a lot of work to create these images. Some day when I get the equipment I plan to get into HDR.
omg and wow ! some really great photos here, even though i am a bit late on the discovery!
I do like the surreal style of these HDRs, but this isn’t standard HDR. If you had taken multiple exposures and used Photoshop to combine the images, it wouldn’t look anything like most of these. There were definitely effects applied to these. All the same, I like them, and thanks for putting the samples together.
Wow lovely images, my favourite is the first BMW Z4 sDrive 23i HDR image *drools* Inspires me to shoot more HDRi
Hey nice pictures buddy! I like that BMW pic very much!
Thanks!
